Apologies if this has been put in place before, but I have just put in the CRJ-200, and have a problem with it. The virtual cockpit is there, the plane flys fine (except it seems to take a LOT of airspeed to liftoff, but that might just be me) and in the 2d cockpit all the instruments work.
Yet with the virtual cockpit, I just have black panels where my instruments should be. Is this something that should be expected or did I install it incorrectly?
I am running Flight Simulator X, with the Acceleration pack, on Windows Vista Ultimate.
Thanks in advance;
MG

Mike - read the CRJ manual. You don't need that much speed - you need to set your trim correctly. Common mistake when starting to learn the CRJ.

Ok, I'll go back and check the trim settings, and maybe uninstall and reinstall the CRJ.
Should probably figure out ACARS too... oh well, i need gauges first, I know 2d cockpit works just as well, but I just really enjoy the 3D one.

Ok, I reinstalled with no luck, I have added a photo of the problem to better illustrate.

Michael - that same thing happens to me too. But, what you could do is press SHIFT+ any number to bring up the instruments and then resize them to your preferences.

Michael, I have the same problem, Vista FSX and Acceleration. If you have a spare monitor, what i do is just drag the instruments to the other screen. Makes them easier to see also than trying to read them in VC.

Oh, how i wish I had a spare monitor, or more so, room on my tiny desk for one of my old CRTs, but getting one at 1440x900 and one at 1600x1200 might hurt my brain...

Search and install "poskyrjvcfsx.zip" in Avsim. This is a fix that will show the PFD and MFD in your Virtual cockpit. Let me know if you have any other questions about flying the CRJ.

Andy, I think the issue is in FSX, not FS2004. The Fleet installer doesn't have the gauges in the VC in FSX because of the different coding for the gauges. However the file I listed earlier from AVSIM will fix that and make some of the gauges in the VC visible.

I'm a new member, I apologize ahead of time for any mistakes, but I also have this problem and the MD-88 has no cockpit at all. Is there a fix for this on this site. I'm running fsx.
Thanks
Randy

i tried that posky fix, to no avail, at one point i actually lost all gauges, even the 2d ones, before i uninstalled and got back to only having the 2d gauges.
I'll try another solution if it presents itself, but overall i'm going to have to wait for a proper FSX release. It's the reason why I'm not flying the 727 program now.
