I am trying to go from Stage 2 to the 757/767 Program. I cannot take the written exam for the 757-200 I select the 757 First Officer exam on the pull down menu then select take test it just sits there like it loading up. When I first joined DVA I took the initial test and scored high enough for the 757-767 Program, but I asked if I could go into the 737 Program because I wanted to fly 737-800's. I have been trying to get transferred into the 757/767 Program for the last week and its taking forever to hear back from Corporate. I was talking to one of the Chief Pilots in the 757/767 Program but he hasn't gotten back to me. What should I do? Hopefully a chief pilot can assist me with this.

Make sure your pop-up blocker isn't on and/or hold Ctrl and click on the take test button. Also, I believe it's the 757 CP who's out on leave or something currently; maybe it's some other CP... I can't remember. Although I do know it's a CP of one of the programs at DVA.

I believe if you were stage 3 757 already and step down a stage, you just request a program switch back to the 757/767 series - no tests or anything... double check that with management of course - everyone's situation is different.

I did read in the promotion manual that if you were qualified and tested passing successfully in a particular Stage and you decide to change stages you dont have to retest if you decide to be placed back in that Stage. I cannot find a Chief Pilot in the 757/767 Program to help me get into the stage. Maybe I should contact my chief pilot for the 737-800 Program? What do you think?

Try David Shartzer - go to the OUR STAFF link (just 2 links below your name on the left side of the login page) and find his email address. The main CP may be on vacation...

I am the Chief Pilot for the 757 Program and Craig Davidson is the Asst Chief Pilot for the 757 Program. I'm still waiting on a response from Terry on this matter. I will send him another email on the subject.

David, I'm more interested in the 767 Program, would it be the same thing? If you are qualified to fly the 757 you are also for the 767 I believe, right? Just wanted to mention that I would like to be placed in the 767 Program so I can fly the 767-300. Thanks!

That would be correct! Although they are separate, the 57 and 67 have the same flight deck. So, if you are rated for one, you are also rated for the other.
