Kyle - all the flights through the pilot center are based on the real world up to date - no kidding flight plans...with the real departure times...updated on a regular cycle...not sure what going to flight aware would help you out with other than verify preferred routing - which we have here as well.

Sorry Kyle but you asked for "flightplans" and yes flightaware gives you the real world flight routing the aircraft is taking on any given day or night. Not just the "preferred" route" RW routes change due to weather amongst other things.
Our schedule is drawn directly from the RW DAL schedule daily.

Hey guys i think he was talkin about like a sheet of paper with a number of flights you have to complete. SO instead of choosing what flight you want you are given assignment, He ment somthing like that. What hes suggesting is that Delta could come up with a system for all who is interested that they be given a flight plan( flights for them to complete one after the other in legs) So more " as real as it gets" you know for us memebers to feel "more real". Pilots in real world are given flight plans for them to complete, here at delta w e choose what we want. I mean that system is awesome but maybe we want to take it up a notch. It may not have to be a general thing because everyone might not like the idea but some may do :). SO yea we're suggesting for Delta VA to come up with a system that gives us flights to complete rather than we choosing, It'll be an experience.
Please take into consideration

We have that now. Go to find a flight and select random and create a flight assignment. http://www.deltava.org/findflight.do
Scroll on down in the Pilot Center to Flight Planning Resources for another area of flight assignments along with the explanation.
"While Delta Virtual Airlines doesn't have a formal flight bidding system, we do have 'Flight Assigments': routes of 2 to 6 flight legs created by our staff as suggested routes to fly, or you can have our automated system randomly select flights for you to fly."

Oh ok i completly understand. I mean dont get me wrong, Delta Virtual Airline is the best VA i have ever seen. Well organised, Highly proffesional in everything, Awesome staff.. You name it you guys have it. Would of been ok though for all those who might be interested in that u guys hand over a piece of document to pilots, you know a well organised Flight plan saying "hey Captain Dickson or Captain Marshall or First Offiecer Hannaway heres your flight plan for this week, I need you to follow it leg after leg accordingly, Enjoy! " You know that would of been nice but hey cant really get everything you ask for. Not complaining at all dont get me wrong, think about it wouldnt it be quite an experience?

As mentioned we do not have a route bidding system based on seniority nor do we have hub managers that make flight assignments. Our business concept is that pilots have the latitude to select from more than 12,000 flights in our schedule routes that they want to fly rather than being told routes to fly. We find this to be the more desirable way and preferred by our pilots. The schedule is based on DAL's schedule. It is a dynamic schedule that updates every morning at 0200.
We do offer flight assignments of 2 - 6 legs in length.
As for specific flight plan delivery, this is a feature that is being worked on through ACARS known as "Dispatch." It is Beta at the moment, but like RW dispatch the flight route is delivered upon request prior to flight clearance on a journey.
