If you had to choose between the super 80 or fly the maddog, which would it be and why thank you.

This question has been asked TONS of times.
It all depends on what you're looking for. The MD06 represents the "newer" MD-80 series with digital displays, etc. The Super-80 has the analog gauges and an older navigation system. They are both great products though and I own them both. Two things you can do. First, do a search on related threads here on the Cooler. You'll find a lot of info. Second, you can check out the review I did of the MD06 on my site --> www.md88online.com
I also have been working on a comparison review for the next MD newsletter, which I'm hoping to wrap up soon.

I'll second what Larry said. No question, Leonardo Maddog 2006 for me.

MD06 here, but I haven't had a chance to try the Super 80 yet. I really want to but it just hasn't happened.

Just an FYI there is a new Super 80 on the horizon (Super 80 Pro) from Flight1/CoolSky that will integrate more modern avionics. As Larry said both are great products.

Yep, the line between both products will be blurred with this update and the new one from MD06 that will introduce analog gauges to their product. Keep in mind that the Super-80 Pro will only be for FSX.
I have had some minor frame hit issues with the current Super-80 though. There are things that I prefer on that panel over the MD06 (autobrake, smoother gauges...), but I still think the MD06 edges it out.

I have both the Leonardo MD06 and the Coolsky Super80. I second Larry's comments, both are very good products and each have their own strengths: I like the Coolsky's vocal checklist feature and the Omega nav system, but the MD06 has an FMS, weather/terrain radar, and the night lighting is the best I have ever seen in a 2D cockpit. You can't go wrong with either product. it's basically whether you want the older steam gauges vs. the MFDs and FMS.
I also say the MD06 edges out the Coolsky Super80.

I would have flown the Super 80 if DAL flew it since I'm into steam gauges a little more.

The Super 80 is the only product that has given my fast new system much trouble. Framerates aren't an issue, but I was getting out of memory errors with it until I installed Vista x64 SP1. Turns out that since the S80 preloads all its windows, which is a huge amount of data, it was blowing some stuff up internally in FS2004 and causing the app to exceed some sort of internal Windows size limit. The Super 80 still uses more memory than any other FS addon I've got, but at least now it doesn't cause FS2004 to CTD.
I've been so busy at work I haven't had a chance to check out the VC in the Maddog 2006. That's for this weekend.
