I would substitute the quadcore (I think it's overkilling it) with this:

I would also add DDR3 RAM, instead of DDR2.

Looks good! My suggestion would be to grab a E8500 or E8400 instead of the Q6600.
I haven't stayed on top of the new 4870. I had a 3870 and my frame rates would drastically drop when in clouds or haze. I don't know if it's still a problem in the ATI cards or not, but I would imagine that it would be better at least.

john, to see all 4 gigs on vista 32bit:
1) Access cmd: Click on the Start Pearl > type cmd in the Search Bar > and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter (this allows you to run cmd in administrative mode)
2) Type BCDEdit /set PAE forceenable

Uh, all current Intel processors are 64 bit as well, have been for years And its not true that you
need X64 Vista to get all 4G of memory, its Windows XP that won't give it all to you. Getting
4G is a 32 bit thing (2^32 = 4G), its when you want MORE than 4G that you need a 64bit OS.
I dual boot Vista X64 and XP SP2 on my game system, mainly because every so often some issue
comes up with Vista. Just a couple days ago FSX suddenly is getting a fatal error every time it
starts up on Vista (sigh...) just as an example, so been running on XP for the moment.
