I see there's a program that converts FS9 addons to FSX but I really dont want to have to spend $20. I would like to get my PMDG 737NG and 8/9 to work on FSX. How do I go about doing this? Thx

Well, this switching program probably can't be relied on for PMDG quality. It's main perpouse is for freeware and lower-sophistication payware.
I would just wait for the PMDG to release it for FSX, or you could use the Wilco one in the mean time (though they don't have an 800 yet).

I ue (for the 15th or so time posted) a program called FS9toFSX igration tool by Vinet.
I have successfully moved almost every payware (Lago, PSS, PMDG, Flight1, JustFlight, Wilco) and freeware aircraft from FS9 to FSX with only a couple of little hiccups.
It can be found here:

There is a demo of the program Andy is talking about. I've downloaded and run it,
and as I understand it, it goes thru and checkmarks the things its able to "migrate".
From what I could see it could only migrate the ho-hum builtin stuff of FS9, it did
not check of ANY of my PSS (757, 777), PMDG, or even DVA fleets as I recall.
I tried to manually get the PSS 777 migrated over, and while at first it looked like it
would work, the plane appeared in FSX, it had this unacceptable behavior, like after
it was at cruise altitude it would "porpoise" up and down, down and up, it nearly
drove me nuts
Having a plane work 90% might be enough for some, but I want it to work completely.
It looked to me something in the innards of a gauge or library were not right.
I would love to be shown I'm wrong as I miss not having a 777 I like to fly on FSX
(cough, hint, cough)
