So I'm working on this laptop for my boss, and I've tried everything to get it fixed back up, but I'm running into one problem, and I can't seem to find the answer. However, I know that if I ask here, someone is bound to know a solution. I've had to reformat the drive and reinstall Windows due to a massive virus infection (about 15, AVG wouldn't even install). However, I can't get the video drivers right. I downloaded the right version from the ATI website, but when I run through the installer, the screen goes black, but will show up in safe mode. Any ideas? It's a Compaq V2000 series running Windows 2000 (updated through SP4 and Update rollup). Video card in question is an ATI Radeon 200M, I think. Any ideas?
