Hi guys. I'm having a serious problem with my system. I've tried 3 flights KLAX - KATL (2) and KATL - KPDX and on all three occasions i landed and park at the gate, but when i press the "s" key to change view the game textures turn a "rainbow" like kind of color. Blue green yellow you name it.Then there was a very loud screech in my headphones and the game crashes. I've tried 5 different drivers for my graphic card, old and new ones but to no avail. However on the flight KATL - KPDX when i pressed that s key the same color scenario happened and also the loud screech, but this time my computer re-booted.Then i got this message stating that my system has recovered from a serious error "SEND" or "DON'T SEND" I eventually clicked on send and amazingly got a reply from Microsoft of possible causes and solutions. Possible cause was that updated drivers can be corrupt. This rang a bell because i had updated most of my drivers like 2 days ago. So most likely it could be one of them. But what i really want to know is if my modem is not properly installed, could it cause such crashes and errors? After i updated, windows kept asking me to install driver for it. When i pop the cd in it says modem failed to install.Sooo...if you guys have any suggestions and opinions on what else could cause the problem plz share. Much appreciation

I can only guess that maybe the video card is overheating, there is a IRQ conflict between your modem and something else. Both can be somewhat easily checked. Do a short flight, maybe KATL to KCVG shortly after starting the computer. Do the same things at around the same time as you usually do as far as hitting the "s" and stuff. That's my guess and nobody else has posted so it could be worth a try. IRQ is an address problem, this is changed in the bios of the actual computer and is a little more intense. You could also try to take the side cover off the computer and do the same flight KLAX to KATL and see what happenes. Modem wise, it could be installed in a different slot then it was made for, could be not seated in the slot right. Also if you go into device manager I think you could "roll back" the drivers. Just some ideas, don't swear by, it just trying to help and get some ideas going.

Ok Chris i google search IRQ and found that my modem was the prime suspect indeed. So i physically dsiabled my modem and stocked it high on the shelf. Now i tried a flight KPDX - KATL and it was a successful flight. The game did not crash when i changed views with the "s" key. However a new problem was generated. Most likely this could be game related of driver. Around the surroundings at KATL (Imagine Sim) the terrain was blue and the lights on the aircraft (mine) turned to little squares and they were spinning. Could this be an elevation problem at the airport or otherwise? Thanks

video card...or try this:
Go to the Settings-Display-Hardware menu and un-check the box called 'Transform and Lighting'. This should make the black squares disappear, but you may lose the cool, smooth rain and snow effects by this.
Additionally, ensure you have installed the latest nVidia drivers since they update very frequently.
EDIT: and check to see what order your add on scenery is in - and that you don't have conflicting BGL files. (I use SCANAFD: http://www.nwlink.com/~erog/ )

I had this problem kind of along the lines of this. As soon as I entered the western US It would turn colors, freeze, then my computer would crash. If you have Abacus Flight Deck 5 remove it, it worked for me big time! (Also raised the frame rates!)

You technically don't have to remove the modem if you really need it or would like to use it. This would require you to just manually change the IRQ in the bios. Don't think it's to hard once you get into the bios. Usually F8 or F12 something like that, which you hit during startup. Glad that somewhat fixed the problem.
