I Thought I would share this with the crew that flew the GFI on Sunday October 12th, 2008. It is very encouraging to read letters like these, Thank you to all who participated last Sunday Evening.
"I just wanted to take a minute and thank the Delta pilots who flew
out from KSAN to MMSD on October 13th.
I was the extremely busy SAN_APP controller on that day and I enjoyed
your fly out immensely.
I was extremely impressed with the job the DeltaVA pilots did. Almost
to a man the flight plans were correct, the radio discipline was good
and the flying was top-notch. Almost every single pilot flew the
departure perfectly.
Even more impressive was the patience the pilots displayed when I fell
behind on clearances when I was launching aircraft, or fell behind on
launching aircraft when I was trying to catch up on clearances. I
know I got a number of clearances out of order and I know some folks
had to wait, but there was not a single complaint.
So in conclusion, nice job Delta VA. I hope the pilots enjoyed the
fly out as much as the controller did."
Sincerely,
Wade Williams
