Weird.. maybe I am not googling it correctly I dont know..
Here is the problem.. I have the parking brake on.. and the planes ANY plane.. freeware.. payware..
inches forward VERY VERY slowly.. but I cant leave a plane sitting idle for 15 minutes or it will be in the terminal building by then.. it is the smallest movement forward.. but it is VERY annoying..
doesnt seem to be related to my Saitek ProFlight yoke.. I hit f1 it STILL inches forward
if i throw reversers on.. it still goes forward... any plane
just keeps going
i have fs2004
the throttle on the panel is at idle thrust too.
if i turn the engines OFF.. the motion stops..
this machine is a new install a few weeks ago.. fresh copy of windows XP and a fresh service packed fs 2004 too.
any thoughts?

It's not just FS2004, it's FSX as well, certain models more than others (ie: Fleet A-32X, Fleet 757). I don't know if it is the wind setting, but I just pause until I am ready to pushback so I don't crash into the terminal.

pause.. that is a good idea too.. I mean realistically we are supposed to shut down the engines at the gate and go to ground power and air. but..
thanks for the tip.. if anyone has a fix that is permanent.. let me know. but for now. Pause.. (silly me) I didnt even think of that.

That happens to me also when Im waiting short of a runway with engines running and I have to wait for more than 3 - 5 minutes, you can actually see the plane move forward. But it has never happened to me with engines off and parking brake at the gate, I always start my flight aound 25 minutes before departure time for preflight at the gate and the aircraft stays stopped.
So with enginesr not running i dont have the problem...(hope this helps)
Cheers

Just learn a engine startup procedure for your plane if you have the extra time..

Whew!! thought I was the only one with this problem! Well,I do one of two things..either shut down the engines at the gates or if I'm at a holding point,I dont set the parking brakes..I keep my finger on the brake key until whenever it's time to move...a little tedious but it works!!! cheers
