DDR2 is only in the 1200 flavor, anything higher and you are in the DDR3 range, If you are going to do a complete rebuild, Get a DDR3 Mobo w/PCIE2.0 Express slots in it The Q9550 you will be happy with. get the 9800GT with 1Gb mem on board, and FS will sing for you.
