the jet is one i'm not rated on,BUT i know i have the range of the Delta Connection CRJ-900 series...
How do i get this approved?
I like the longer flights(3 hours and more..)
I've already flown a test flt in a CRJ-900 from KLAX to KDTW (Los Angeles - Detroit),and landed with just under 2000lbs fuel..

David, you can fly any fligh you would like to, with any aircraft you are rated in, as long as it will make the flight based on range. For instance, if you would like to fly across the Atlantic with the 737, and you are rated in it - you can do it.

Ok..got that...Now,i flew EB out of PHNL (Honolulu) to KLAX (Los Angeles)..Programmed in 50kt tailwinds, and have FS Traffic 2004 installed (i havent mastered online flying yet)..Departed w/19,423 # and 8,000 #'s in baggage, psngrs & crew..
Climbed to FL360,and flew at a ground speed of 470mph...I landed and taxied to the gate...
Had 1,089 lbs remaining...not a lot,but made it..
The CRJ-900 is quite a ship...not built like the 737 or MD-88,but shes fast and can get in & out on a small runway..

You flew HNL to LAX in a CRJ-900 with a load of PAX and Cargo? Where is the basic realism!?!?!?
Did you even think of ETOPS? Come on now, I'm a realistic nut but Im sure even the Average FS Pilot would say that's ridiculous.

Some people are basic simmers, not striving for realism. If its safely possible with the plane, by all means go ahead, don't let your ratings hold you back, but try to get some additional ones.

Long trips in small airplanes can be cool. Last week I flew SEA-CVG in the E170 just to do it. Actual distance traveled was 1,962. I think I'll try SEA-MCO soon (simroutes has it listed at 2,281 miles). Max E170 range - 2400.

I agree with Alex and David...
we can have fun with whatever a/c.... for instance i could fly ATL-BHM on a 747 (not realistic) but it can do it... so he was just asking a question you know...
keep going bruh...
