And if this doesn't work, find two identical sized. Put one under each of the two under the pedals (have them be thin books), and calibrate them with the pedals like that. Since they will be pressed down slightly, then when they are in their absolute zero position, they won't be able to apply toe breaks, so there's no problem. I read this on www.mycockpit.org
