Hi Guys,
I have had my first CTD with the Pro Pack CS 752. I had flown EGLL/LEMD without incedent apart from the NAV database been void of STARs for Madrid. So I built the star on the legs page and tuned the radios to suite. Landed manualy after the AP/AFDS seemed to hop off the GS every few hundred feet. Put the aircraft on ground services and had a bite to eat. Within 70 mins I was reloaded with pax and freight. I had tankerd the return legs fuel so there was no change in the CDU regarding fuel, juust a new ZFW etc. The flight was going well apart from FS passengers telling the folks in back were not enjoying the hot air coming of the spanish countryside, I constructed a RTE 2 that took me further East to avoid the mountains and stepped up two flightlevels. Still no problem. Then I recieved the expected runway at London, Entered 27L and then went about deciding on a STAR that worked with my route. Checked the charts and ATIS and then selected Dep/Arr on the CDU. Up popped all the available STARs for 27L, LSKd the one I wanted, next thing I knew the picture of my wife and I at mitchel field was staring me in the face from my desktop!
I have posted on the CS forum but I dont hold much hope there having read other posts. Has anyone had this or simmilar problems with the CS FMC/CDU. Also this bird could go to the moon on the center tank alone.
Regards
James

They just released version 4.2 if you're on FSX. However, it's plagued with autopilot and autothrottle issues.

This same issue is posted on the CS forums. You prob didn't get a reply b/c they have a sticky for this problem. I'd suggest looking around for some answers. I've even posted on their forum on how I found a way to avoid the CTD.

I just bought the CS, and the FMS is definitely subpar.
Steve, I probably ran into this autopilot thing, I found that if I engage it as early as
I've been used to with PSS, just to hold heading and altitude after takeoff it veers
off course and will crash. Now if I engage and IMMEDIATELY hit VNAV and LNAV
it seems to be ok.
I also found that if I input a flight plan that has a name that it doesnt recognize
that it creates some kind of gibberish plan rather than do something intelligent
like dump the unknown point or at least complain to you about it.
Seems like they have a bunch of amateur programmers doing the FMS, they've taken
forever to get it out there, and now it doesn't work properly, in fact, its not even
that the bugs are horribly subtle, they're DIRT SIMPLE to recreate. Get the impression
that CS doesn't know what QA is?
BTW, whats up with the stupid rabbit poster in the VC??

Final thing the support is subpar also, I enjoy the 707 and did enjoy the C-130. I had a crash a year or so ago saved the 707 and the 757 lost the Props and Gear on the C-130.....CS offered NO HELP.
