I would think that the alarms are telling you that the memory isn't being seen by the system (improperly installed, static electricity zapped during install, wrong memory type-DDR, DDR2, DDR3, etc.). Go back and install the original memory chips and see if the computer works. If so, the system is good and the problem is with your memories. Are they the same type and speed as the ones you are replacing? If not, you might have to change your BIOS settings to get the new memories to work or perhaps they are just not compatible with your motherboard. Read the manual for your motherboard and it should tell you how to set up the board for your memory chips. Also, check the card edge of your memory chips with your existing ones to see that they have the same number of pins and the slot is cut in the same place on both memory chips. Hope this helps.
