I have been using the CH Products yoke for about 3 years. About 6 months ago the red button under my left thumb quit working. This is the rear red button. Last week the Hat switch under my right thumb stopped allowing access to a right side view of the aircraft. Simply pushing it to the right brings nothing so I must cycle it back around to the left 270 degrees to look off to my right.
In essence I have two buttons that have quit on the yoke and I am not in a warranty. Any ideas about this or should I buy a new yoke? I see they have come out with a second generation yoke by the way. Thanks in advance.

Dont really know how to fix that, but if you want a new yoke, for the most realism, choose the Saitek Yoke. Very realistic.
Or if you want a joystick, use the Saitek X52.

I have looked at that yoke Alex. That might be something I will go with but despite my complaints above the CH is still working pretty good. Just the loss of function is disturbing.

Had an issue with my trim Buttons 11 and 12 respectively. Sounds like the USB wire that comes into it got pinched from all of the twisting and puling and pushing done with the yoke. Since you have no warranty like me I pulled mine apart , and sure enough the cable over time was being pinched. The wires under the Sleeve are very fine thread, they wear down and eventually break.
The cable is secured to the Yoke Shaft, you will see what I Mean, by a zip tie, that is where it wears down at. I exact o knifed the casing far enough to splice and re solder the wires, and presto, problem solved.

Here is the update.....I called the number (twice) and still no returned call. I suspect the yoke cable has been crimped a little but I am not going to open the plastic because most every function works well. Thanks all for your input. Putting a screwdriver to the CH yoke kind of makes me cringe because if I screw that up I might be grounded for a good while and the yoke is really quite good.
Thanks again all!
