Please, I need your feedback on this....
I was doing WSSS-LFPG on a 777-300, using PSS, Samsoft for WSSS and Aerosoft for LFPG.
I did the flight 3 times and not one I was able to finish. The first one I "ran out of memory" 224nm from landing.
The second one, I ran out of Hard drive space (I still have around 140GB of free hard drive) and FS quit on the middle of the flight.
The third time, same message (Hard drive space) at 10nm from landing, with flaps and gear down. Frustrating after a third attempt to a 13 hour flight..
Could it be the route? or the route with the scenery and planes? Or was I just very unluky...
I erased all of my TMP files and many of my unused programs to free up some more space on the HD. I defragged my disc using Disktrix Ultimate defrag. and I have the option of letting the system choose the necesary page space for programs, disabling system restore.
I just didnt have the courage to try the route again for the fourth time....im too scared....lol
Cheers everyone...
For the system specs:
Intel core 2 duo proc. with 3.0GHz.
4GB of RAM
Nvidia 7600GTX with 512 MB of video memory.
HD of 260GB
Running windows XP with service pack 2

Hmm, how bout if you do other flights that long, sounds like a memory exhaustion thing,
also what addons are running besides the sim and acars? For instance, evidence suggests
that FSPassengers leaks memory like a sieve (windows programmers..pffft).
Running out of hard disk space is probably a typical misleading way of saying that it ran out
of allocated swap space (temporary system storage on disk), something quite believeable
if an addon is programmed poorly.
I don't know why scenery would be an issue, but I really don't know how that stuff works
either, so who knows

Try make the fs screen resolution smaller, and run in windowed mode. I was running a res that wasn't supported,
and every flight after switching a few windows, I would get the same errors... Changed it to my monitors res, and
now I haven't had a problem since !
