Here is my trouble. I lost my hard drive a while back, and when I reloaded FS on the new hard drive, the thrust reverse option is gone. I have looked in the engine command list for button assignment, and its not there anywhere. What did I do wrong?
On another note, im also having trouble when I log into SB. It is having trouble starting the lobby session. I can still get online, but it gives me an error. Maybe connected, maybe not. Please help.
Thanks

Press and hold F2 - that is the default Reverse Thrust. You can set it up in the options as well.

I did not mean "sorry" as in "to bad for you". I answered the post and then reread the post and realized that my answer was not correct, and while editing the post and hit save response by mistake.
Hard to believe I can fly an aircraft....

No worries Don.
Andrew, I understand what you are saying, but I had reverse programed on my Saitek X45 prior to the HD crash, and I cant remember how I did it. When I look in the options folder it no longer shows a thrust reverse. It should be under engine commands, but there is nothing there. I have looked in all of the options folders and its just gone.
I know it can be done because I have done it before, but for some reason its just missing now.

Found this on a website...worked for me.
>Thanks all; but the malfuntion on reverse thrust was due
to a mistake by myself. With FSUIPC 3.3 the reverse
thrust, when set correctly, operates on the control
throttle and not on the F2 key. The setup is as follows.
Calibrate the Joystick making sure that throttle is
calibrated from full min to full max. In FSUIPC click the
Joystick tab. On page 1 select Map to 4 Throttles. Move
to page 3 of 8 and using the Throttle 1 axis click Reset
and then set Reverse, Idle and Full as required. The
other three throttles will map throttle 1. We live and
learn, always read all of the literature. Thanks again

I am running FSX Andy and I'm using the Saitek pro flight yoke and rudder peddles with throttle quadrant and I can't figure out how to assign my throttle to activate the thrust reversers by pulling the throttle all the way down to "reversers" possition.. Hmmmmmm.. Wish I could get that to work also. I can use F2 but would be much easier to just pull the throttle back to "reversers" and not have to reach for my keyboard imediately after touchdown..

Go into Settings: Controls subcatagory - Assignments: Buttons/Keys: Joystick Type= Saitek Pro Flight Yoke.
Then go to "Throttle Decrease Quickly". The default keyboard assignment should be F2.
Press "change assignment", and move your throttle lever(s) to the negative range. Unlike the 0-100 range on the upper portion of the throttle, which acts like an axis, the red reverse range acts as a single button.
The assignment box should now say "Button 21, 22, 23, or 24", depending on which lever(s) you are using.
After this move the "repeat" slider next to the assignment to the middle, this way, you can hold the lever in the same position and the throttles will actively continue to reverse.
If you do not adjust this slider, you will have to move the lever back and forth from reverse to regular function to get the reverse to activate.
If you are flying a multi-engine aircraft and are using one or two of the other levers to control the other engines, the lever which you assigned the reverse thrust for is still the only one that will activate it, but it is helpful when engaging reversers in this case to drag all the levers to the reverse range to ensure that the throttle will not recieve conflicting signals.

Hey thanks Andrew.. I tryed to do that exact thing before and it would'nt except the lever movement as a function.. Did'nt work the first time I tryed it now either but I tryed it a second time and it worked.. I assigned a button (one of the rocker switches) on my yoke to turn the heading bug.. You know, click it right and the heading bug moves right and left it moves left.. Is there a way to set the alt bug to do the same thing? I hate having to use my mouse to adjust my altitude bug.. I have a "rocker switch" right next to my heading rocker switch the moves up and down.. Would be perfect for the alt bug..
