Hi Guys,
I have recently been getting more involved in Delta's online events, and have run smack into a huge thrill killer. Now, I already know I don't have the most up-to-date system to run FS9 on, but what's killing me is my frame rates when I'm coming down for a landing and there are a half-dozen, or more, other aircraft at the arrival airport. For whatever reason, FSInn starts to choke on painting that many aircraft, and my frame rates bottom out around 3-5 fps. I have tried landing with frame rates this low but, at best, it becomes a controlled crash. Anyone have any ideas? (I'll be getting a new system in about six months.)
Thanks,

Gary, in the FSInn options - turn down the distance and the number of planes FSInn "sees". You can only see stuff 10 miles away anyway - so no need to see them 100 miles out - and why haveit process 100 planes, when you can have it show 5 (which will be the closest to you. Why show all 28 aircraft at KATL when more than half may be on the other side of the airfield from you.
If you get stuck - drop me an email/.

Thanks guys.. I"m still working with it right now.
In FSInn I reduced the processed aircraft from 50 down to 3, and it appears that may be the fix I've been looking for for some time now. I'll let you know in a few.
Thanks again,

Hi Guys,
New to the airline on the MD-88. Had a simply question:
What is FSInn?
I can see it has something to do with multiplayer, does it come with VATSIM?

Hi Lindsey,
FSInn is a SquakBox-type integration program between the pilot and VATSIM. As beginner's, most all of us started out using SquakBox, as it is the simplest to learn, and probably the most commonly used of the two. Today I use only FSInn and don't even have SquakBox on my system. I could go into the advantages/disadvantages, but that might start an argument amongst our loyal users here at DVA. Once you get really good at using SquakBox, you might consider looking into FSInn and checking it out for yourself.
