FYI for all Flightsim Commander X users...
What's new in 8.5:
Apart from the usual bug fixes and cosmetic changes the following features have been changed or added.
SIDs & STARs
The SID/STAR section has been remodeled in that now you select and display the SIDs and STARs from the same window. For details see the Help file or written documentation.
Reduced Window
The Reduced Window feature has been eliminated because noone seems to have used it. This feature originated from times in which 15" monitors were standard and virtually nobody had more than one monitor.
Airway routes
In previous versions there were two ways of building a flight plan involving airways. You could either enter a text string with waypoints and airways into the Route String text box or you could enter airways into the waypoint text box and afterwards convert the flight plan table into the appropriate series of waypoints. This latter possibility has been removed, since the two methods overlap to a large extent and the Route String text box option is much simpler. So if you create a flight plan involving known airways, you simply enter the sequence of waypoints and airways into the Route String text box as explained in the help file and manual.
"Fly Over"
A "fly over" feature has been added. Standardly, the aircraft will initiate its turn to a new route prior to reaching the next waypoint in order to reach the new segment as smoothly as possible. You now have the option of forcing the aircraft to fly over the waypoint before initiating its turn. See the help file or manual for details (Chapter GPS - Waypoint Page).
Online Aircraft
If you move the mouse over a static online aircraft, its Great Circle route will be displayed.
Status Label Time
Independent of whether or not you are connected with FS, the time indicated will always be UTC (Zulu). A left mouse click changes the display to local time.
Status Label Mouse Coordinates
The labeling has been changed from "Inbound/Outbound" to "To Cursor/From Cursor" position.
Status Label Aircraft
A right mouse click on the label toggles the "Aircraft on Map" function.
Color Themes in Options Window
The current color selection can now be saved as a color theme in fscolor.ini by pressing on the appropriate button.
Change Of Waypoints
When the program switches to a new waypoint, there is no longer a beep. Rather, the file SwitchWP.wav is being played. You can replace this file (while maintaining its name) to a custom file.
GPS Window
On the Weather Page of the GPS window, values appear now also in inches.
Weather
The label displaying the current METAR weather shows both QNH and Inches.

Also, another additional feature was added that will benefit PMDG MD-11 pilots.
PMDG MD11
In the "Save Flight Plan" window an option for the PMDG MD11 has been added.

Okay, I don't want to swipe this thread, but I use FSBuild right now, and I was wondering how FS Commander is in relation to FSBuild.

Okay, I purchased FSC, and love it, except that even after reading the manual, I am unable to save and export flight plans to my PMDG MD-11 and FSInn. I am using FSX. I have tried just about every path imaginable through the Options window, but they don't show up. I even tried using the same path as my FSBuild, since those save to FSX and PMDG MD-11, and they don't work. I'm at a complete loss.
