Having problems getting fs9 to work on my new system so far i just intalled fs9 and when i load it with defoult planes it gives me like 2 fps... anyone knows if there is a tweak i need to do to make this run good
i also downloaded nhanser but i am kind of lost on what to do there on the settings
but i can tell you i had it running on my old optiplex with no graphics card and was running 15 times better on there so i kind of makes me wonder if there is something i am doing wrong
this is the specs on new system

Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB

Ensure that everything you are running (FS related) are running as both ADMIN and in XP compatibility mode.
I was a Vista hater until I purchased a new computer for my kids. Installed FS9, UT, AS, FSInn, etc. as ADMIN and XP compatibility mode, and have had no issues at all

Forgive me Andy, but what do you mean as in XP compatibilty mode, here is my delima (spelling?) FS9 loads fine, but the issues I am having are in the views mode. When I look out to the right or in any direction for that fact, my instrument panel stays with the view. I can see my view, but instrument panel goes with it. Also outside movement freezes, but all instruments still operate. I hit the escape button, everything goes back to normal. HELP!!! I am pulling my hair out. Don't have much niether...:) Have Nhancer, have played with it also. I really believe it is something to do with my video card

AMD phenom X4 9850 Quad Core

NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS 768 MB dedicated video memory

Timothy,
Here's something you may want to try: go to www.tweakguides.com. He has posted several docs that deal with, well, tweaking various settings w/Vista and with various graphics cards to gain better performance. I've have used his Nvidia tweak guide with great results. Hopefully this will help.

The performance is great, FSX I can actually MAX out the slides bars and its works great. Fs9 viewing screens is the problem. Most of all my payware is FS9, so I still use it 85% of the time.

Timothy, sometimes when I change my views on FS9 my instrument panel shows up on the side views. You may try just hitting the key that brings up the instrument panel and it may go away on your side views. It is either the #1 key or shift + 1 key. You may have already tried it but I thought I would mention it.
