I'd assume that they would if the Delta get's it in the real world, but that's just my opinion. As far as fsx availabilty I'm sure there will be a model developed, because they are goin to have to wait a while anyway for the technical data, and with fsx being the "main" platform I cant see it being left out.

Just looking at the demand for the 787 RW, I can only imagine that there will be some sort of paywayre available once research can be done by the software developers. I wouldn't count on anything for several years as it takes up to a year or more to create a good bird, on top of waiting for the thing to enter regular scheduled airline service which is when they will most likely start data collection.
The 18 NW orders are still on the books and firm but some of the earlier slots have already been given up so we won't see them in the DL fleet RW as early as originally planned.

No clue if DVA is going to develop a 787 program, but RW Delta certainly is. I work at Global Aeronautica in Charleston where the Forward section and mid body are being built. Delta has pushed back their order in the hope of getting later aircraft that are more in line with Boeing's original weight estimate instead of the early aircraft which are currently severly overweight. As of now, A/C num 7 is under construction and is closer to the weight goal but there is still a ways to go to get it where Boeing wants it. As of now, scuttlebutt around the plant has it that Delta is aiming to get a/c produced later than airframe num 20, which acording to Boeing will be in line with the original ZFW number.

I know for a fact that POSKY is developing a 787. They always create quality freeware. Don't know when it will be released, but they are waiting for flight data to do a lot of it. The thread is located here:

If the 787 is brought to DVA and is in its own program, what stage would it probably be at? Because I'm a part of the 738 program and I'd like to transfer directly to it if it's availible.

I'd guess, and that's all this is, that it would be stage 3 as it is designed primarily to replace the 767 though it could also go stage 4 as it has the range of the 777.

I will be a LONG time. Right now, they are having trouble with the wings staying attached. Great design for the winglets, though.
Also, they still haven't fixed the toxic gases emitting when the plane gets on fire. G'luck boeing. You've made so many great planes... sometimes you just need to stick with what works best.

Ruben, I work w/ Boeing on the 787. There are no problems with the wings staying attatched to the airframe! Boeing simply realized, as is common with ALL new aircraft, that a certain section of the airframe needed to be reinforced. It just so happened that in this case, the wing box needed to be strengthened. The aircraft is fully capable of flying as is right now. The problem Boeing is facing is that any flight testing done now will not do squat toward earning the airworthiness certificate due to the fact that in its current configuration, it does NOT represent the production ac. The changes needed are very small and will be done while the aircraft sits on the flight line. It will not even need to be towed back into the hanger for the repairs. And as for the airframe emitting toxic fumes if it catches fire, all aircraft do when they burn. Its all the plastic, foam, ruber and carpet in them. And one last point, if everyone just "sticks with what works best" no progress would ever be made. 60 years ago, radial engines, propellers and tail draging unpresurized aircraft worked best. Composite aircraft are the future, and the future is now.

Oh, its happening, its just been pushed back a couple months. Boeing has to make this bird work. They've stacked their future to the 787. If this plane tanks, Boeing will tank with it. They've got too much money invested into it to quit now.
