well, i've been through my fair share of PC builds and cases. anyone who knows anything about building computers knows that Lian Li makes excellent cases. never been in the position to spend $200+ on a computer case alone, but recently noticed a less expensive/feature rich Lian Li case and decided to make the purchase. for about $110 shipped from newegg it's quite a deal.
solid build, light, neat features, sexy, simple, good airflow, removable mobo tray, good cable mgmt, etc etc [with some upgraded scythe fans] ... we've got a winner and when my mobo comes back from ASUS i'll be buying another to replace that large 45 lb thermaltake xaser you see on the right!!!
just a suggestion for you builders who like the cases that DON'T have skulls, neon lights, silly windows etc..

What is the model number on the case or do you have a newegg link?
I used to have the blue version of that thermal take case, that thing was built like a TANK, also weighed about as much..haha
I have been using Antec cases for a while but I definitely like what Lian Li has to offer.

Looks alot like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112192
However, I have to say that this case might be on the pricier side, if it doesn't come with a PSU. I have a thermaltake soprano that I picked up from a friend for $20 and it runs fine, and it's really more of what is inside the case that matters.
Just my opinion
Matt

the xaser by thermal take is a great case - a remake of a enermax server case IIRC, but it's a tank!
the lancool has it's issues, if you check reviews the mobo tray is a bit tight and causes some issues with larger heat sink fans... but overall it is A+

This is the antec case I am looking at. Little more pricey but I really like the slick look of it.

Yea I looked at that one. Just not worth it..haha. Right now I got the Antec Nine Hundred and that thing sounds like a jet on takeoff if I turn all the fans on high. I like it but its too open for me and waaay to loud

well, i think i can speak for most, PSUs that come with cases are generally poorly rated in terms of amperage on the 12volt rails. generally building a rig would not be based on a poorly performing budget PSU.

Yea I built my computer around my PSU. It was one of the more expensive items, but telling my geek friends I bought a 1KW PSU was awsome. I did about a week or two of research before finally buying one.

That too, plus the memory card reader bay now fits into where the floppy used to be.

yep that floppy drive is necessary for me. i frequently use acronis true image with bartPE boot disk [allows me to image hdd/os setups] - the lian li computer is a tad bit older and the mobo needs drivers to support my hdd on boot. floppy is the only way to do it!
