As anyone else had problems with Air France's downloadable airbus. They are almost uncontrollable on takeoff and landing, seems to be a lag in input. Tried changing the joystick timing to no avail.

YES! Finally, someone who's experienced the same problem as me!
I think it has something to do with your IAS and flap setting
It says use flaps 1+F for landing ......... English???

There is a whole series of negative issues with the Airbus installers running in FSX. What we've been able to determine so far is that FSX does not like the logic that the airplane is using for the fly-by-wire flight control system. Work around: unknown at present. These airplanes are native to FS9, and although they technically do work with FSX, you won't get the desired results. All I can do is apologize until we can find something a bit more suitable for our FSX users.
Gary, regarding your inquiry on the flap setting, this is unique to Airbus. The standard flap setting for takeoff is 1+F. You'll notice that we don't use flap settings in terms of degrees like the Boeing jets. We have "Flaps 1" "Flaps 2" "Flaps 3" "Flaps Full". On the ground when you select 1+F, the slats and flaps will deploy for takeoff configuration. You can't select just "Flaps 1" on the ground prior to takeoff. Your choices are 1+F or 2. It's a little tricky to explain, but I hope I helped translate it a little for you!
