I am using FSX, and each day it gets a little older. I am seeing more ILS/VOR freq. changes. So, question ?? Does anyone know how to get into the Sim files to make the change to the new freq.???
Cheers,
Jerry

I want to say that they are in a .txt or .xml file that has some funky name, but there is a chance that it is some proprietary extension that only they can fix. I haven't encountered any wrong ILS freq.

I might be wrong, but the freqs may be stored in AFCAD files that need special software (you just can't use Notepad).
Funny, I don't think I've ever hit a "wrong" frequency, but I guess I'm just not hitting the right locations.

I don't have FSX but I do have FS2004. Maybe similar to FSX. Go to FSX main directory folder under see any "RWYINFO" folder? Click on Prwydata.txt use notepad you can change frequency or add on. Just be careful with this notepad must be follow space line and column line in a row etc.. This is for Prwydata for using your rwyinfo in your cockpit panel click and entry airport.
Good Luck,
Stuart

Thanks for all the info.
Stuart, FSX is the same as FS9. I found the file okay. But the freq. looks good. I need to do some more checking. I have had about 4 in the last month that would not work. Different A/C. both ILS and VOR.[I could not tune in]
Thanks again,
Jerry

Jerrell,
Really? You couldn't tune it on the aircraft. You meant you can't channell on radio knob. That's mean aircraft.cfg is error on [radios].
Example is correct:
[Radios]
// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 0
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 0, 0
Nav.2=1, 0, 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1
I saw 767-400 was error I edited it works) anyway
if you see this Nav.1=0, 0, 1 Nav.2=1, 1, 0 <<< if there is 1 should be zero.
should be:
Nav.1=1, 0, 0
Nav.2=1, 0, 0
If there is 1 that couldn't do channell on your panel at all. That's problem.
If you don't see 1 or else let me know before you edit. OK? Make sure you get back up before you try to edit.
Good luck,
Stuart
