I'm currently in the 757 program and I got in there because of my initial hours when I joined but I want to fly the ERJ170 and work myself up from there. everytime I try to transfer to equipment, the only thing that comes up on the list is the md11, I want erj-170
can someone please help, this is very confusing.
thanks

We do not have an Erj-170 program to get the rating I think you have to go into the 737 program or pass the 737 checkride

You have to take the 737 exam first off and then request the transfer

You cannot take any examinations until you've logged at least 5 flights with us.

Brian,
You don't have to transfer into the program into be able to fly the E170. You can just request additional ratings in the 737 and when you pass the check ride, you will get the E170 ratings as well. So then you can fly the E170 as often as you would like and still remain in the 757 program.
Obviously, you can also just transfer into the 737 program as well. Either way will get the job done.

We look forward to seeing your 737 Check Ride request come through the system. Put in the time to make 5 ACARS logged flights and then take the written. After passing the written, request the check ride and you'll get the opportunity to test your skills in the Baby Boeing.

In this VA, you can fly any aircraft you are rated to fly, to any location we fly to as long as the aircraft will make the flight safely. Thats the beauty of this VA, you dont have to fly the aircraft the schedule has on it.
