Hey everyone, I am currently going thru a remodel/add on at my house and will be moving my CPU to another room. My cpu will be in an office which connects to a bonus room where the TV will be. I would like to wire my cpu to my tv. Does anyone know what type of connections needed to do this? Thanks!

yuck! svideo works, but there are better options. RGB or DVI are fantastic options if your TV has these inputs and you will be able to run at the native res of your TV. I did this for nearly a year on my 47" 1080p TV. Two computers hooked up via DVI and a switch to my TV.
could you give some more information on what exactly you want to do?

Thanks for your responses guys. I knew I could count on DVA'ers to get the answer. At this point I don't know exactly what I want to do with my CPU and TV, I just am trying to plan ahead so that down the road I would be able to play video from my CPU to the tv or even play FS on the big screen.

because svideo is really standard definition (480i) if I am not mistaken, it really is only good for video such as DVDs or other video media. you can imagine trying to browse the internet or game with 480i. it's possible, not very enjoyable though. if your TV is a LCD/Plasma/DLP that accepts a RGB/VGA connection the link below may be of use. monoprice has dirt cheap HIGH quality cables for anything you can imagine.

If the two will be within 30 feet of each other, you may want to take a look at this:
