I dont know if any one uses vasFMC, if you do i need some help. I have have everything set up and working just fine, on my test flight plan i put in a known route that i have used before( klax loop4.dag kcvg mosey5.enl with no waypoints between, rnav apr 36L with BRTCL BEPEE CUTAC ROPRR being the rnav way points) i have the *.frms to .pln converter. I save my plan import it on the converter, load it on to fsx, start fsx up see it on my .pln list and think "cool". i load it then there it is on my flight plan list! The problem is that is confuses longitdued. (It shows my my flight plan perfectly but over China no kidding) i checked and it in spot on the point but with "E'' in stead of "W" for longatude (klax =N33.9375080 W118.3827310 in FMC) in fsx( N33.9375080 "E"118.3827310) It gets even more intersting, it works PERFECTLY on the east half of the globe, i can really see the problem if i put london as my destinatoin since london is only about one degree west of the prime marididian my where-it-should-be marker is the esact opitist (i have measred it with a ruler) what is goinon?! This is really a mystery to me and any one has sugestions or advice i would love it thanks.

Ryan, what is the purpose of the file conversion? Why don't you just fly the route with vasFMC without converting it?

Alan, the point of file conversion is so that fsx can read the file, load it in the flight planer so that you can use fsx gps to to use a working plan that you can use AP and it will follow, most convenent on long flights.

Why would be wanting to use the Default GPS when you are using VASFMC? VASFMC is slaved to your autopilot anyway.
What version are you using of VASFMC?

go to that page I listed. It will direct you to a new page here (which is the X-Plane forum - don't be alarmed, you will be able to get suite 2 for FS)
:
http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=7888
Join the forum - it's free, and then you can download the files by pressing the bug red circle that says DOWNLOAD.
Or go to FlightSim.com here and again, join - it's free:

I think if you learn to use vasFMC as intended, as the flight path management tool that it is, your satisfaction will go way up in the route planning and execution area. The use of a FMC is one of the biggest reasons people spend money on payware aircraft. With vasFMC, you can bring up the realism level in freeware aircraft without spending all that money. It does require some patience and time however to learn and it won't be instantly intuitive. If you don't feel like investing the time to learn vasFMC and want to just get a route into FS and use the GPS then I would not use it. Use the DVA route plotter or Simroutes.
