I'm running into a few issues here and there that I think is related to my 64bit registry. Most recently I noticed the problem while trying to use Cielosim Instant Enhancer. It says FS isn't installed. I ran the registry fixer tool that shows my registry the path for FS, but since there's two of everything in 64 bit operating systems, I think I need to do the same thing for my 64 bit path. The problem is since the tool did my 32bit path automatically, I'm not sure how to manually do my 64bit path. Can someone guide me through getting into the 64bit section of the registry to fix it? Or is there another tool besides Flight1's registry fixer that covers 64bit systems?

Hey John,
what FS and what 64bit-System? I'm running Win XP Pro 64bit with FS9. No faults. Just got over the PSS B777. Weather Radar will cause trouble.. hence I just stopped using it. All in all, the system speed didn't increase on FS9 but, I can use my resources on other apps much better.

From what I see on the page, it's an FS9 only product.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough for you guys. This is related to the fact that my operating system is 64-bit. There is a reason I didn't specify whether or not it was 2004 or X. It doesn't matter. The fact is, I need to fix the registry on the system to make entries for the software I'm trying to install. I have FS9 AND FSX installed. I appreciate the support you're trying to give me for Cielosim's product, however I'd like support for the problems I said I needed solved in the original post of this thread. Thanks.

John,
I also own Win XP x64 and had a similar problem, and I will try to help. Note though that I am currently on a Mac and propably won't be on my FS system until sunday, so I'll try to describe it as good as I can remember.
1) Open the registry editor (Start => Command => type "regedit")
2) In 64bit Windows, there is a 32bit compatibility mode called "WOW64". And 32bit software is hence saved under an additional WOW64 path in the registry, too. So for example, the Flight Simulator registry keys are not saved in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Flight Simulator" or similar, but in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW64\Microsoft\Flight Simulator" on a 64bit system. And that's propably the problem: Instant Enhancer is looking for the path in the wrong place.
3) What I did is I just copied all these registry entries to the regular path expected by some installers as well, which fixed this issue for most addons I'm using. To do that, go to the registry tree you want to copy, and then export (either via right klick on the path or via the menu, can't remember) to a .reg-file.
4) Open that .reg-file with a text-editor/notepad and remove all the WOW64 portions from the paths in the document. Save.
5) Double klick on the modified .reg-file and add it to the registry.
Hope that helps,
Martin
