Everytime I have tried to fly the CRJ, it refuses to pitch up until after I've already overrun the runway. I thought I overloaded it with fuel, so I didn't load acars fuel used only the fsx fuel and put it as low as possible and vice versa. I still overran the runway. I've only had this problem with this aircraft. The autohandles pitch fine, but I have to hold the stick all the way back just to get 10 degrees nose up. Anyone know what to do?

You have not set the pitch trim correctly...same problem everyone has when first trying to fly the CRJ. Read the AOM, tells you what you need to do.

I had the same problem , when I put the dva fleet aircraft into FSX , the default crj in FSX worked fine, I don't like FSX anyway.

Matt, like Andy said, you need to adjust your pitch trim before TO. Unlike most other modern jet powered a/c, the CRJ-200 does not have slats, so you get less lift at slow speeds. The default CRJ in FSX is the CRJ-700, which has slats and more powerful engines. To get the CRJ off the ground, you need to dial in quite a bit of nose up trim.

You might also want to check the t/o weights of your aircraft. I had the same problem, and found that the aircraft was overweight for t/o.

You can get the CRJ-200 off at MTOW in about 4,000ft if you set the pitch properly; not a weight issue.

Yup, but if a person doesn't adjust the load and weight of the plane beforehand, FS will automatically set it far above the certified MTOW (No idea why, ask Microsoft).
However the most likely problem would be trim setting. Like was stated before, read the AOM to figure out the proper pitch trim setting for takeoff.

All right I'll try it. Would this apply to the MD-88 as well?

Nope, as was stated earlier, the MD88 has leading edge slats, as the RJ200 does not. Not a issue with the Dog

It is mostly likely just the trim that is not set. Make sure to set trim in all your aircrafts as it makes flying easier and more enjoyable.

Matt you have to set the trim for TO to at least 3.0 and as soonb as you take off start lowering it

You need to set the trim way back on takeoff for the crj 200 to takeoff properly. I usually trim it down like 3 bars from the bottom on the trim wheel, that should work for you.
