I have a two-part question. The Pilot Promotions Manual shows the A330 as a B777 (Stage 4) secondary aircraft. However, I've seen some mention here in the cooler that it's a B767 (Stage 3) secondary aircraft. Can someone clarifiy? Secondy, I'm assuming that the only way to fly the A330 is as a AFV codeshare flight. Is there a link somewhere to AFV sight where I can download their fleet installer, assuming they have one?

Yes, If you are certified for B767 you can fly A330, and it is stage 3.

Dustin, that manual has not been updated you get the A330 ratings by passing the 767 CR,and you can fly the A330 on any route as long as you have the ratings and they aircraft can make that route

You can fly any route with any plane so long as you follow two simple rules: 1) You must be rated in the aircraft 2) You must be able to complete the route/flight safely and legally .... so, for example, no flying from LAX to Hawaii in the CRJ.
You are not required to adhere to the plane specified in the schedule. Just follow the rules above and you will be fine. So, once your are certified/rated in the A330 you can take it on any route, AFV or DVA...doesn't matter.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't realize that the AFV planes were below the DVA planes in the fleet installer drop down box. I assumed the entire list was in alphabetical order and all I saw was the A310. Thanks for the help everybody.

Another question relating to this topic. Just curious if another exam and CR required for additional ratings in A340? It's basically an A330 with four engines, but when I transferred into the B767 program, I noticed the A340 wasn't included (the A330 was).

Dustin, the A340 is a Stage 4 a/c. So you'll have to get rated in something like the 747 to be able to fly that one.
