I am now the proud owner of the Saitek Pro Flight yoke and my question is this. What is the best technique to control rudder/ground steering until I purchase the rudder pedals? so far it is tricky. Also, any tips on setting it up?
I must say I really enjoy the yoke vs my old stick I have been using.

Don't use the SST software to program your Saitek stuff - use the default program for settings as well as FSUIPC (if you have a registered copy). If you don't have the pedals yet, you're stuck using the keyboard or if you have an old twist joystick, you can still keep that plugged in - disable everything about it except the rudder (twist) if you have it. Otherwise - you are relagated to the keyboard settings - either default or whatever you set it to.

You can also set your C1 and C2 buttons for your rudder, then its always just under your thumb!

Thanks for the advice. My old trusty joystick is at my side. I am using the twist axis for rudder, works fine. Thanks for the tip to disable everything else on it. I am using C1 and C2 for my rudder trim though and the position of the switch seems handy for that. So far I love the yoke. It really does add a new dimension to the sim. I can't wait until the wife comes home today after her weekend away to see my yoke. The "nerd" comments will be flyin' can't wait!! (It's all in fun)

You will love the rudder pedals when you get them. Hope the wife is easy on you.

Nothing is as nice as pedals, yes you may make do with something else, but if you
have the option get the Saitek pedals, they are great, I've had mine for over a year,
and it makes approaches so much nicer!
