I imagine the fleet CRJ lacks the FMC that, while imperfect and incomplete, is part of the FeelThere/Wilco CRJ. Personally, I don't find panning the view with a hat switch any more immersive than 2D pop up panels. Yes, I know there are solutions to that, but I never wanted to invest much time into making a VC less cumbersome to me when the 2D panel is sharper to my eyes. I would say the whole reason to buy quality payware is for the attention to detail, systems modeled, and VC (if you like it). I also like that many payware products give me the option to easily disable the VC. Something to appease everyone, I suppose.
