Hello everyone, when I press ALT in FS9 to access the menu my screen goes black completely and I'm only able to see the menu now. Is this normal?
Also when flying if I am to do the following I get a stutter:
Activating/Deactivating the aircraft lighting
Moving the gear up/down
Thrust Reversers on during touchdown
I have bandwidth mult set to 200, 400 will give me stuttering.
Any help? Thanks in advance.

Daniel, as far as the stuttering goes, it sounds like with the aditional animations FS is trying to perform, its killing your frame rates. If the prob. just started, you probably need to defrag your hard drive, maybe run a virus scaner on your system, just to make sure you're comp. didn't catch something. If that doesn't work, the only other thing I can think to do would be to maybe drop you visual settings just a bit during those phases of flight so your frames will bump back up.

Nope the frames run at 60FPS constant. When not performing any of the stated functions I get no stuttering at all.
My computer has no viruses or spyware either, I clean it and defragment it everyday.

Daniel, as is in your other thread, what kind of CPU temperatures are you experiencing during a "stutter."

How about after prolonged exposure to Flightsim? Also, what's the temperature of your GPU?

GPU Temp is 45*C on the HD 4870; and after long running of FS it just stays at 35-40*C.

Daniel, the manufacturers idle temp on the HD 4870 is 70C. What kind of cooling are you running?
