I have been testing my new ride and noticed that my landing lights are not working in the MD88 I downloaded from DVA. Anyone have a similar issue and fixed it?
Thanks,
Gene

Check your graphics settings. Make sure that you have the "Landing Lights Illuminate Ground" box checked.

It has been checked and still is. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Ok, well I know on the -88 the ldg light retract. Do you have them extended? Also, OT, but hows the weather up in the upstate? I used to live up there in Philadelphia.

Ok so now I hit "L" and they come on. But if I use the toggle in the plane they do nothing. That's funny. Not sure if I am overlooking something in the plane. I do not see where I can extend them from going over the plane's panel. And it is getting colder up here. In the 30s the other day, winter is coming too soon.

Wow. It was something like 85 here yesterday. Pretty warm today too. Hmm, as far as the panel goes, which vs. -88 are you using? Is it payware, the fleet installer, other?

Fleet. 85 is nice! I lived in Augusta GA. for a few years so I know what nice weather you are having right now.

Gene it my be that the panel switch has three positions. The top one is off and retracted, the next "middle" (2nd detent down) is extended (the landing lights extend from the tips of the wings... apprently above 250kts they make a LOT of noise). Then you have to move the switch fully down (3rd detent from top) this turns them on. To turn them off you move up to middle... let them cool a few minutes then restract them.

Gene, that has been my experience as well...flipping the switches doesn't seem to work on the fleet model, but hitting the "L" key lights up the world. Might be a limitation of the freeware model. Fly the Maddog or Super 80 Pro will work properly.
