So, it's been a while since I've been flying. I've been waiting for Windows 7 to come out so that I can load it on the Macbook Pro I just bought and use it for simming. I finally got all of my addons loaded, only to discover that TrackIR was not recognizing Flight Simulator (2004). After a day of troubleshooting, I finally found the fix. Both programs (TrackIR and FS) have to be run with administrator priviledges. After I did that, it works flawlessly. I just wanted to put this in here so that if anyone had this problem, they wouldn't have to spend as much time as I did trying to troubleshoot it. Also, my apologies if this was discussed in another thread, but a search on the cooler didn't turn anything up.
Also, just for your information, the Macbook Pro (15" with the upgraded video card) really works really well. I thought it would be a gamble, but I was running a PMDG 737 with ImagineSim KMCI scenery and all the sliders set to max, and I was still hitting 50 FPS (I had it capped at 50).
