I've been doing some transatlantic routes lately where I've needed to get routes off various sites such as simroutes.com and put them into the DVA route plotter to save as a pln. file for FS 9. All of that stuff works until I go into Flight Simulator and load my flight. I still choose to use the default FS ATC. So when I tune for Clearance, it makes my route VFR, asking if I want to depart "straight out, west, east" etc, instead of "Request IFR Clearance." Is there any way I can edit my flight plan using Notepad to make FS ATC notice it is IFR?
