once again, I need help.......I bought fsx...installed it.......no problems......then I down loaded compatible aircraft from deltava........from town library to my portable 8 gig flash drive...and took it home and installed on my big computer. major probles with install........and I have the planes..but no instruments....or cockpit. have I done something wrong? i'm baffled. the version that I have is fsx regular......I wanted to see if with my good computer.....it would run this time....and now problems....
once again I question my computer skillss......lol lol

The fleet aircraft have no Virtual Cockpit (3-D)--that's what you're seeing when you load up those planes. Switch to the 2-D cockpit by hitting the "W" key until you see it (might have to hit it a few times). I think either F9 or F10 also works.

Also, you will notice that as you select and fly a new plane in FSX, you will be asked (many times in some cases like the 767) to accept the gauge or other trusted install. It is a pain, but you only have to do it once per airframe type.
Additionally, make sure you install SPs1 and 2 for FSX (unless you have purchased Acceleration which has them as part of the install)...then, do youself a favor and run a defrag.

andrew thanks.......where do I get the sp1 and 2? I just bought fsx regular...didn't get deluxe.....didn't have the money until next week....thenI guess i will get the gold version........... I like fs9 as i have more goodies.......but wanted to try fsx with this new computer I bought.......it screams.......I love it............i put the specs on the otherthread that is on here.......you were talking about what you use. and how you use it......

Bill..you can download SP1 and SP2 for free on fsinsider.com
Apply SP1, then start FSX and start up a flight. You don't have to go anywhere, just start it.
Quit FSX and then apply SP2. Should be good to go.

thanks Jack, I will go now and look for these....and down load them.....I'm at the library in town.....using a flash drive to download and take home to computer..........any problems gettin them this way????????
