Hi everyone.
I am having a dilemma with FSX-it just doesnt work properly anymore. Here are the symptoms:
1)Whenever I right-click, the little toolbar does not appear.
2)When I do right click, and then try too look around in locked spot view, I get the little Vista
'error jingle' and nothing happens.
3) When I press the ALT key, I do not get the menu bar on top.
4) The red text showing what view you are in on the top right corner seems to have been pushed a couple spaces down
from the top.
This is the worlds biggest annoyance! This has happened to me two other times besides this one. Each time
I un-install FSX, then re-install it. It works fine for a couple of weeks, then WHAM! It repeats this annoying little cycle.
Is there any way to fix this without un-installing FSX? Thanks Guys. This is a big help.

Sounds like a corrupt file somewhere in FSX. Have you checked Microsofts forums to see if anyone else has had this problem? I'd also email MS tech support to see if they have a fix you can try.

Actually, FS9 is OK, but FSX is soooooooooooooo much more advanced! I got this state-of-the art machine I am using, so, I run FSX on it, it runs like an FS9 but with $5000 worth of upgrades! BTW, I got the problem fixed. Called Microsoft support. If you have this problem too, just delete your fsx.cfg file. trust me, IT works! www.allthingsairplanes.webs.com

To caveat my statement - I use both - each on its own dedicated drive - but I didn't spend $5000 on upgrades....man if you spent that much, you could have gotten yourself several machines capable of screaming FSX!

I guess that It depends on what machine you are using. I like FS9 as well, I started using FS with it when It first came out. Dont get me wrong, FS9 is nice, but I personally enjoy FSX more. Also, how do you upload images to the DVA image gallery?
