Here are a couple pics.
The specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-750 processor [2.67GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache]
6GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs]
1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 [DVI, HDMI, VGA]
HP 2509m 25-inch Diagonal 16:9 Full HD Widescreen Monitor
Wireless-N LAN card
I'm running all settings Medium-High, except Aircraft which is maxed and traffic which is custom (100% airport traffic, 0% land/sea, 50% sky [great ammount for WOAI]) and getting non-suttering 150FPS a smaller airports and 130 or so at big complex ones using DVA fleet installers. My payware runs at about 100FPS at smaller airports, 80-90 at bigger ones, again stutter free! (frames are including bilinear filtering and AA turned on).
I've yet to post a screenshot, but it sure does look good!

Nope, I didn't add the lights. I believe the setting in FS to add those light effects is "Light Bloom" (I could be wrong on this one though).
It adds a very nice effect of real lights and of seeing lights through glass in a windscreen.

Alexander, glad I could help you select such a rig! It looks beautiful! Maybe in the future you might have to overclock your rig if you get like Manhattan X, FSDT JFK, REX 2.0, UTX, GEX, Airsimmer A320, etc. But for now, she looks like a beaut! I can't wait to see this whole project finished. We may have to get into contact and let me give her a spin. Hehe. Great job so far!

Yup, thanks a lot for the help with all this Nicholas!
In fact I'm looking into some OC information right now. I made sure to get a good cooling system so that this would be possible in the future. There's even a handy video on YouTube on how to OC the i5.
Keldon - If you ever get into the 'Bus, you'll be glad to have it arround lol! I plan to put a Mercedes gear-shifter cover ($6 on Ebay!) over the base to give it a more Airbus feel.
EDIT: Today I put some GoFlight panels in, I'll snap a picture of the setup again after that's done. This room, which used to be my "Violin Room" has made a change into the "Simlator Room". I set up a laptop linked to this computer via WideFS to be the "instructor computer", have a printer network hooked up now for flight reports, several shelves of AOMs and other important stuff, and an independant phone to call other rooms in my house lol! It's a very fun process!

You should take a few pictures of the whole room throughout the process! Do you eventually plan on adding other monitors and an enclosure?

Yup, the monitor I currently have is the "captains side window up to the pedistal line". There will be several other monitors added, including one for gauges.
In terms of an enclosure, I'm still figuring out how exactly to do that, but it'll be enclosed one way or another.

Just looking at the picture, the desk itself looks optimally shaped for an enclosure. Possibly a 2x4 (probably smaller) frame with some sheets of plywood in between. That would give you optimum support for the overhead, etc. And you could nail, screw, glue, etc., the frame to the actual desk itself. Just a rough idea. Good luck with it!

In fact, the desk comes with a semi-enclosure that covers all of the desk, so all I have to do is enclose behind the desk.
My plan is to use 3 monitors and 3 PCs.
One PC is the main FS PC. It has connected to it the direct control input devices (Throttle, pedals, and SSC) and the primary forward view (with no panels on it).
Another PC has both the Instrument Panel monitor and the left hand window monitor and uses a MyCockpit builders software similar to PMGauges to display the MFD, PFD, ELAC, and ECAM. It will also run the RMP and Transponder, as well as a small, modified and labled keyboard that will be the ECAM display switcher (the only 3 Pedistal panels used in SOP that can be accuratley simulated, excluding the MCDU)
A third PC will run the overhead panel and autopilot and the MCDU (once I figure out how to encorporate the MCDU).
The pedistal of the desk will extend behind the throttle quadrant, reaching approximatly back to the back of the chair (when fully pushed in). The overhead panel will be screwed overhead, but also encorporating saftey straps to prevent the fall of the panels if the screws strip the wood they are attatched to and fall downwards.
I don't have any plans to put something to "block" off the SSC side, as the monitor displaying the left-side window will be angled and boardering the current screen. While in a real aircraft the pilots enter from the back, I'm perfectly OK with entering from the side.

It's from a company called Sim Cockpit Systems, which also makes the chair.
It encludes an enclosure that I also plan to install (a hood over the desk), then I'll add in the rear to the enclosure with self-made stuff.

Well, my first flight with the new rig was disasterous, but on my part, not the computers.
Everything looked amazing and I never dipped below 70FPS the entire flight, but I forgot to remove the little "will not fly beyond this point" thingey from the MCDU and ended up finding my ACARS progress bar go backwards...
