Does this mean I need to start looking for a new GPU? This started happening recently periodically towards the end of my last flight. I cannot tell if there's any scenery, situation or inputs which causes this, yet. Currently running an EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX 768mb on an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe board with an E8600 proc, 4GB RAM, flying the PMDG 744 on FS9.1 on Win7Pro64 OS.
Cheers!!

Maybe. Or it could be heat near the end of a long flight - have you opened up your case and vaccuumed out any dust?
Cheers!

Looks like it could be faulty video RAM, one of my older nVidia cards went the same way and it was the memory causing similar effects.
Luke maybe onto something, overheating RAM can cause unreliable operation.
There is a utility out there somewhere for testing video RAM, I'm sure that you'll find something suitable if you google it.

I'm gonna side with Luke. Same thing happened to me with my old rig. Video card overheats bc of dust.

+1 Overheating issue.. My 2 GPU's in SLI are so close to each other, they were getting VERY hot.. once I got another fan, the crazy stuff like that above stopped.

+1 on the GPU overheat. I have to take my PC out to the garage about once a year and blow the dust out of it.
On the other hand, are you sure you didn't have an explosion in the forward cargo hold?

Fellas, thanks for the suggestions. I did forget to mention that this box was rebuilt last weekend to W7 and included a complete refurb: disassemble all components from the board, dust, vacuum, clean, reformat as appropriate. There is a lot of dust here as central air/heating is unknown in Holland and I do a fairly good job of keeping the "bunnies" out, however, the cheaper course of action is to add another fan, possibly a temp gauge, too. Not quite ready for a GPU research and purchase project right now. Thanks for the insight.
Cheers!!
