As you are aware, Continental Airlines departed the SkyTeam alliance several months ago. The final Delta code share flights on Continental operated legs were flown around October 24th, and as you notice Continental does not appear in our flight schedule. The Senior Staff had a discussion earlier this month on what to do about this change, and how it will affect our operations both for current and historic operations. I'd like to share with you the results of this discussion, and what will be happening going forward.
1) I am in contact with Innovata, our schedule provider, about a revised download. My goal this time will be to include *ALL* Delta and Air France code share flights. Based on the quality of the data Innovata receives from the airlines themselves, there have been some logistical hurdles in the past to achieving this. I'm not sure how possible it is this time, but it's been a while since our feed was revised and things may have changed. My goal is to have something for the December 2009 update I expect to receive in three weeks, but this may drag into 2010.
2) We will be removing all Continental liveries from our Fleet Library. There have been a few revised installers (I believe the DC-9 and B727) that no longer include Continental paints, and this will be extended going forward each time an installer is updated. Right now, the B737 is in the process of being updated, so that'll be next on my list. This shouldn't result in the removal of any aircraft - with one exception. Right now the Boeing 707-120 is only featured in Continental livery, and this is scheduled to be removed. Since I'm a big fan of the noisy, smoky and underpowered B707-120, this segues into #3.....
3) We will be updating our historic fleet to add Northeast and Western liveries to our Convair, DC-9, 727 and 707 installers. This will allow us to retain the B707-120 along with a few (obnoxious yellow!) Northeast birds. You're welcome to fly these aircraft in regular operations as "Delta Historic". We will NOT be adding separate airlines for Western and Northeast into the schedule database at this time, but if someone can find a historic schedule and put the flights into a CSV, I'll consider it for a later date. And before anyone asks, we will NOT be adding Pan Am liveries, since Delta never actually merged with them; just purchased some routes.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to respond.
Cheers!

Would it suffice enough if I go off the maps to make a CSV for you? I'll try to find out more information as well.
This might help some Luke.

I need more than the maps - I'd really like the departure and arrival times. I expect it'll take a while to collect the information - which is a good thing because right now there isn't the momentum to include Western and Northeast in our operations and I have bigger things to attack.
Take your time and do it right; by that point I'll be ready for you. If not, it'll sink into the Black Hole of Luke's TODO list.
Cheers!

Luke - I don't know if Delta has announced when they are going to integrate and mainline the Northwest and Delta schedules - do you know? And how soon afterward should we expect that update to occur for DVA? I'm sure this is a momumental undertaking for DAL and DVA - just curious.

From what I've heard, Northwest will cease to be February 1st, at least in computer systems. Still do not know when the actual certificate will merge.

FYI, the Western birds are in the 720 and 727 fleet installers; the COA birds have been removed from most of the installers and the Northeast planes are in the CV880 and 727 installers. If someone can find me a repaint of the FFX 737-200 in Western colors, I'd be delighted.
Cheers!

Do a search for a file called wstr732z.zip . It's the old Western colors. Hope that helps Luke.
