Without knowing your computer specs, I would assume it is a heating/cooling issue more than an FSX/OS issue

I have the similar problem because I have FSX and when I start it up it goes kinda slow but its probably because of the processor and how fast it runs when it runs a program that big. I am pretty sure somebody may back me up on what I am saying

Slow and Freeze are 2 different things brandon.
Roger - you can get a freeware program called SpeedFan:
http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
that will let you adjust and control the speed of the fan(s). Typically a OTS computer (Off the shelf) is in a small tower, crammed with stuff and given one or two fans at the most with little room for the air to circulate optimally.
I had an HP Media Center that ran FSX fine, until I started turning up graphics and playing a while - heating killed it. I would have to have the side panel open and a fan blowing onto the motherboard area. I ended up building a new PC (Anthony Piasecki) and have adequate cooling fans and circulation in the box and have not had a heat issue since.
Other that - I think your options are pretty much limited - maybe buy a larger case and transfer to it.

It's a good computer but it's really not specifically made for gaming, let alone FSX.
Now that being said, if FSX is running ok, or you have tweaked your settings and it's running the way YOU want it to - no issues.
The processor is good, and 4BG RAM is good, but the stock video card in it is not the best choice for running FSX high demand graphics
Intel express chipsets either come with shared memory(video card uses some amount of ram) or with dedicated memory. In either ways it wont help you. My guess is that FSX works but the graphics may be choppy, stuck or blank at times - not related to the Heat issue (my second thought)

Roger,
Andrew has given you the right suggestion. Download speed fan and monitor your temperatures. To me, overheating is a likely cause of the freezing. A new video cards can make your play/fast but they won't get the computer frozen, nor can they help to get out of it.
There is a nasty habit of fans collecting dust and spreading it across the heat sink. So, pls. take it to the nearest repair shop and get the heat sink / fan assembly cleaned. If attempting at home, pls. get a nice thermal paste (Arctic Silver) ready and read some tutorials before you open the box.
For FSX, anything less than 1 GB is a NO-GO for detailed graphics although with tweaking and spending time, you can do it for less.

Roger it may seem a bit exteme but a chimney fan would help your system out considerably. Gurmeet and Andrew have rightly pointed out that it would appear you have a overheating issue. Fans are cheap. But make certain to remove your MB or cover it well if you do add a chimney fan. I've put one in my computer and have seen a 20%F drop in the CPU temp.

I do notice that it will not happen on all my planes . My payware aircraft which I have 3 the one that it happens on the most is the CRJ the other 2 very rare. Also I know this will not help this problem but what graphics card would be better then my ATI Radeon HD 4800?

+1 on the overheat issue. It sounds like the processor could be going into thermal shutdown to safe itself.
How old is the system? Are you using an aftermarket or stock cooler on the CPU?
Also, are you overclocking the system?

I'm thinking that the payware CRJ is putting a greater load on the processor (CPU/GPU) than the "stock" aircraft that comes with FS. By this, I mean more things are being rendered.
I had this happen recently on my Asus A8N-32SLI Deluxe / Dual Core Athalon 4200+. I can run anything on it just fine (FS9, etc) but if I run any BOINC manager tasks (such as SETI@home, Docking@home, etc then the northbridge core temperature will jump from about 110 degrees to over 160 degrees and result in a shutdown after about 5 minutes.
Using an infrared laser thermometer, I was able to identify the "hot spot" and mount a very small fan near it that keeps the temp under 120 degrees.
This may or may not be your issue but is certainly something to consider. Also, make sure you get some compressed air and blow the dust out of it on a yearly basis Also, strongly consider getting an aftermarket CPU cooler since the stock units are barely adequate when new, much less as they get older.

"...It ony happend rarley with my other payware" It shouldn't happen at all. I think your best option is to either keep your case open or switch into a larger box. Might I recommend getting offline with Anthony Piasecki...he'd be glad to help you out.
