Jeff, it looks like you have your work cut out for you!
Go slowly and work on one thing at a time and it will work out just fine. Make sure your cards, processor, memory, etc are *firmly* seated.
The only "top" I would add is a Creative Labs X-Fi sound card. It offloads the sound tasks from the CPU and gives you an even better frame rate (with awesome sound).
Good luck with your project!

Looks like a pretty hot machine....but you might also want to consider an aftermarket CPU cooler. I don't know how good the stock AMD coolers are, but the Intels leave something to be desired. Besides, you may not even need the Arctic Silver because the stock cooler may already have one of those thermal pads instead of the compound. No biggie, as the compound is not a big dollar item.
Not to insult your intelligence, but I don't see an Operating System in your shopping list. I assume your gonna put in W7-64? Stick with Home Premium if you do...you should not need Pro or Ultimate, but if you do you can always upgrade later.
I don't see any incompatibilities, but I can't tell what kind of RAM you mobo uses--just make sure it isn't DDR2 only.
Have fun....it's the only way to go.

That machine looks like it will be pretty amazing. One thing, why don't you just go for one Hard drive, The Raptor is amazing, I have the 300gb one you are looking at. Why don't you just get one Raptor HD, but with more storage, and forget the other one?
The power supply you are looking at is also brilliant, I also have the same one

Sounds like a awesome setup but definately go with a aftermarket cpu fan. AMD's are great at first but typically give up within a year or less. I'd also recommend a Gigabyte MB over Asus but thats only because years ago when I was in the computer business I had to send in so many Asus's for replacement. I've not purchased one lately and they might be alot better now.

Also...is the Asus MB okay? And will this system run FSX at high settings without any stutters?
