Is anyone using Windows 7 along with FSX? Sandy Claws is bringing me a new HP with Quad processor, 16 Gig ram, and 1 gig on the video. Should I try to get them to just load Win XP or Vista? I've fought long and hard with my old machine just to enable me to see where it is that I am going. I'm hoping just to load FSX, FSINN, and ACARS and be ready to fly. Thanks in advance everyone. The picture was taken when on my way to JFK from Manchester England. I thought it looked beautiful.

The best solution is upgrade to a new computer with Windows 7 and get all the processor and graphics card you can afford.

David, That is a beautiful picture. Michael is absolutely correct, get the best most advanced system you can afford. It may not get to be obsolete quite so fast.
Take care.
P.S. Why did you need the brakes? lol

16 gig of RAM???? Get Win7 and you can load up the 64bit version. You'd pay the same $$$ for XP64 if you can find it--might as well get W7.

Even if the 32-bit applications cannot use more than 2 or 3 GB of RAM, the extra memory will be available to the OS and be useful for things like the file cache and SuperFetch.
Cheers!

In fairness, I cheated a little. I wrote the response after I pushed the build that had BBCode support. I then started work on a quick and dirty AJAX service to support quoting; I then pushed that build and edited my response. There's probably going to need to be one more build because there's a small HTML table issue seen by some people, but that can probably wait a bit.
Cheers!
