I completely enjoy my job here at DVA. This has also been a great supplement to my RW VFR activities and will help me on the technical aspects for a RW IFR rating - one day I'll make that committment. This experience has been so much fun that I just bought $2000 worth of computer components to make it a slightly more "visual" experience - even though all my flights are IFR. This purchase should provide a dramatic DVA return on investment in operational efficiency, overall passenger satisfaction, and increased return business. Passengers will be lining up and begging for full body scans, just to fly my new equipment. Uh...where do I submit my expense account for reimbursement?

You might try Ken Nesbitt or William Chambers. After all, they are the directors of operations.

That will come to me Scott. Here's how we do it.
Fill out a 294-J reinburstment form, in triplicate. Send one copy to me, retain one and sent the third copy to the Corp Office to the attention of Marge Silverstone. When Marge gets your 294-J she will fill out a 68-L form which she will sent one copy to me and return one to you, one for her records and one will go to Alan Cluff. Upon reciecveing his copy CP Cluff will fax me a 287 reguest for verification. I will sign it and return it to him. Once he gets the verification back from me the request will be submitted on the third Thursday, provided that Thursday does no precede a holiday week end. If it does it will be held for 30 days and resubmitted.
Here it gets tricky.
Once it is submitted to accounting, all 294's, as we call them, are reviewed for any errors, if errors are found Bob Stevens over in accounting has to fill out an AC 7890/0a it goes back to Marge, Alan, and me. At that time we review it and teleconference on the first Tuesday of the month. Provided we can fix the errors we resubmit, If we can't Alan fills out the back of the 0a which triggers an internal audit.
If the errors are corrected the computer generates an 112-LI form which has the instructions for getting you reinburstment.
If no errors are found the 112-LI is sent out automatically.
Once you fill out the LI it goes back to accounting and we will go from there.
Generally most people get their money in 3-4 years.
Any questions e-mail me.

After using the mimeo machine, put the paper up to your nose and inhale deeply (also dating myself). After you submit your ER, management will place it in their special crosscut file.
