Hi everyone,
I just had a question, when I get ready to do a flight, I get all of my information (Vroute, flight planning, etc) and start up FSX, my problem is with the wind. I don't have any payware weather programs, I just have the real-time weather that comes with FSX (I believe it downloads from Jeppensen). Based on the wind direction I plan which runway I'm going to take off on. Now when I load up ACARS and plug in all of my information and type .weather to get the weather reports, alot of times the winds are blowing in a totally different direction than what FSX shows. This isn't a real problem as far as my flying because I can just take off and land based on my FSX weather, but when flying online, if everyone else is showing the wind blowing from 270 @ 5 knots, and my FSX is showing the wind blowing from 090 @ 10 knots, that could really mess things up, especially if I'm flying into or out of a place with alot of traffic (and also make me look like an oddball going a different direction than everyone else LOL) Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Also I can't buy any payware at the moment, otherwise I'd get Activesky. I like having the real world weather, (I like to come out of the clouds and see that it's raining at KATL, or snowing in KSLC) but the wind direction is screwing me up.
Thanks everyone and have fun flying.
