I did a search on this, but I didn't find my answer. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit
When I use the DVA route plotter feature, after creating my route, I'll save the .pln file to the appropriate directory. I'll start flight sim, go to the flight planner, and click "load" and then select the file. I am able to find the file, but whats weird is I will click on the file, but the flight planner wont show anything afterwards. It's as if nothing is in the .pln file, but I checked and there is stuff in there. So what can I do?
Thanks!

Make sure you are saving them here C:\Users\your name here\Documents\Flight Simulator Files for fs9 and C:\Users\your name here\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files .pln files are used in both Sims FS9 and FSX.
This is for Windows 7 and Vista , for XP it would be C:\Documents and Settings\your name here\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files and C:\Documents and Settings\your name here\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files
Make sure you are saving it as a .pln file IE: when the plotter saves the file it save as a text file form when downloading, you get the save file as, KATL-KJFk, make sure you add .pln to the end of it. boot up fs and walla your good to go, just gave it a shot here on my end in Windows 7 X64.

I am attempting with both FSX and FS2004.
Anthony, I saved the files there, and I was able to locate it through the Flight Planner, but when I click on the files to select it, it just wont select, and thats the problem I'm having. I used to be able to do this when I was using XP, but since I moved to Win 7, I haven't been able to load any .pln files thorugh the flight planner.

I have found that if there is a waypoint that is no in Flight Sim, then it just won't load. I tried loading an atlantic flight the other day and it just wouldn't, but when I tried a short hop across the US, it loaded fine. After some more trial and error that is the conclusion that I came to at least.
Try a simple flight plan, maybe even direct with a couple waypoints and see if that loads

For whatever reason, I don't have that problem in FS9. I create flight plans with RNAV SIDs and STARS and FS9 happily loads them.
Cheers!

Before I switched to Windows 7, I used XP. I was able to load flight plans with waypoints that were't in the sim. Not anymore...
The flight plan I was trying to load contained PACOT's, so maybe thats the issue. I will give it another go later this week with a shorter route w/o oceanic tracks.

I have had this problem on occasion. when it happens I will re-save the flight plan only add another character in front of the name. i.e., aKSEA-KSFO vice just KSEA-KSFO. Don't now why but seems to work for me.
