I was at AVSIM looking for some logo lights for the B727 and came across a very cool annunciator panel that has ten different messages that the flight deck crew and cabin crew would announce throughout a normal flight.
It is opened into a separate window by assigning it an unused pop-up window button. The installation is very straightforward and detailed so that even I was able to do it.
However, where the code is supposed to be pasted into the aircraft panel configuration file under the last used pop-up window, there is nothing in the B727 file. Absolutely nothing except an alias panel description. No guage locations, pop-up window locations, etc, like you would find on a regular stock FS aircraft.
How can I get this to work with the fleet B727? It works fine with the stock aircraft and it's really a pretty cool add-on.
Another question is, why isn't there anything in the panel configuration file for the B727? I could use the help of a savy programmer. Thanks.

Most DVA and AFV fleet installers install panels into a separate "alias" directory, and then reference the alias instead of the panel directly. This is because multiple aircraft models may reference the same panel, such as the 767-200, 300 and 400, or the 737-300, 400 and 500.
Under your aircraft folder, there should be a folder called FSFSConv, and underneath that you should see the panel folders.
Cheers!

Hey Thanks! You really should hear this add-on. It's so cool to hear the safety briefing while your're pushing and start the taxi. And nine other announcements too.

I think I've heard it before - the 737NG panel has one in the new version.
On a side note, could you send me the GAU files, or a download link?
Cheers!

IT WORKS. THis adds the next level of realism to sim flying. This ought to be on every aircraft in the fleet. To bad MS couldn't do it.
THanks again!

Sorry, no linky. Just the file name.
Since the aircraft already uses up all of the number keys with all of the windows, it was assigned button 13 which is displayed all of the time. But there is plenty of room on the panel to position it under the glare shield over the HSI and mode indicators. You can resize it and move it about the panel as you wish. Too cool.
No smoking and fasten seatbelt buttons are included with the accompanying chimes, but the B727 already has those on the overhead.

Luke, did you receive the annunciator file I sent?
I never sent a file via e-mail before so I hope it arrived intact.
