I like to fly the Fleet 737NG, but I have a problem with it. That is that the autobrake and autospoilers don't work. I like to fly it because I like the new Delta levery, but I have to switch my plane to the default FSX 737 (With the Delta NNC Repaint) when I have to land. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Ethan, I'll test again but in the past I have not experienced this problem. I fly the FSX default a lot because I fly with a VC. Just remember it is a fuel hog.

Thanks Alan. I do like the default 737, but I like the Fleet one better, so I'm just trying to say that I'll fly the default, but I'd rather use the fleet.
PS- What is the fuel hog that you refered to? the auotbrake? or the autospoilers?

He is saying the default 737 burns more fuel than the real thing.

You know you can fix that don't you Alan? Just go into the A/C config file and change the " fuel_flow_scalar = 1" to "fuel_flow_scalar = .75" Thats where I set mine and it seems to work pretty well there. Some people set it to .55 and they say that's actually where it should be. It's under "general engine data" Just a little FYI cuz I like to fly the default 738 in FSX also. Actually a pretty nice plane if you don't mind not having an FMC.. Also Ethan.. You can find the "wavy gravy" paint or the 2007 or whatever you like for the default 738 if you're interested. Shoot me an email if you want and I can send them to you if you don't want to have to spend hours searching AVSIM, Flightsim.com etc. trying to fine them like I did.

OK, now I have another problem. Whenever I try to save the CFG File, it doesn't let me save it.

This is a known issue if you are using Vista or W7 OS's...right click on the .cfg file and give yourself "Administrator" rights.

Hey Ethan,
I usually end up saving the file to the desktop then drag it to the aircraft folder from there.
It will ask you a couple times if you want to do it and then you'll be good.
Hope that helps you out.

Ok, Thanks Dave, I'll try that.
Well, I did, and it still didn't work, When I put the Edited file in the folder, it didn't replace the CFG file. Also, It was a different type of file (A Microsoft Word file instead of a CFG file).

Morning Ethan,
I just sent you an email with the modified aircraft.cfg. That should get things fixed for you.
See you in the skies,

Thanks Dale... been meaning to make this edit and not burn so much expensive DVA fuel. I'll have to "get er done" now. I fly the FSX default with vasFMC and enjoy great success.
